Waiting for SUNDAY!!!!!.

 

God made the world and then on Sunday even he decided to rest. He was tired after all the hard work that creating the world entailed. Since time immemorial Sundays have been days of rest.

1. Sunday is my fun day.
2. Thank god for Sunday.
3. Never on a Sunday.

All these  lines tell us how even sayings and songs emphasize on the value of Sunday. Sunny Sundays are welcome while Mondays bring on the blues. Not many look forward to a long working week ahead but everyone looks forward to a Sunday. Be it a student, housewife, a businessman or a politician everyone loves Sunday. The luxury of sleeping late is something everyone begs for and enjoys. Getting up late after a restful sleep and doing everyday tasks at a slower pace with no need to rush out of the house_ What more can be more calm and restful? Sunday is a time to be spent in leisure and pleasure. This welcome break from the routine, punishing and boring work we do everyday in School, University or Place of work is valued by one and all. One can pay attention to family members, have breakfast together, Watch T.V. together or indulge in related hobbies like listening to music, Dancing for music tunes, doing yoga, reading books. So the tired mind and body get a much deserved rest. If our body is considered to be a machine then on  a Sunday is when we can let its parts be serviced and enjoyed so that it can run smoothly all week long.

In comparison to this Monday seems like a dreadful monster. The thought of a long week ahead makes us snuggle back into bed lazily. Some others get a headache and others having Monday  phobia may spend out Sunday in fear of the next day. But still others feel fresh on Monday for they had a restful, relaxing Sunday. So on Monday they thank god that the day before had been a Sunday.

Come Sunday we can relax and reenergize ourselves. But we must make the optimum use of Sunday or any leisure in life. Schedules for the work at  home, University and office in the coming week can be planned. Houses can be cleaned up and small repairs undertaken. Spending time with family members in a productive and qualitative way is only possible on a Sunday in today`s hectic life. Inviting freinds and relatives or visiting them, some recreation through going for a movie, music concert or necessary shopping is how we can make best use of time on Sunday.

Sunday and weekdays make us realize the importance of hard work, routine as well as our well deserved breaks and value of time.......
