Intricate Machineries of our body.....

Gods greatest creation on earth is the human beings. A Complex body Structure that works efficiently with many systems working at one go coordinated and directed by the brain and regularized through the working of heart. This makes human beings as Gods most valuable creation.

A lot of efforts are made to keep this body in shape. Exercise, dieting, medical check-ups and preventive Vaccinations are means of keeping a body healthy, hygienic habits and disciplined life style will keep us healthy, fit and ready for a long life.

A body is an amalgamation of many systems that are working together. Right from the moment a baby`s first cry is heard, many systems set to work in its body. Some of these systems have been working even as the baby was still in the womb, while some start to work at birth and stop only when a person breathes his or her last. The brain is the most important organ that coordinates the workings of all other body systems_ Skeletal system, Muscular system, Circulatory system, Respiratory systems, Integumentary system, Excretory system, Hormonal system (endocrinal) and Nervous system. All these receive outer stimuli or are acted upon by other factors, which send signals to the brain. Then it is the brain that decided which way we are to react. Our physical and thinking faculties are countered by its instructions. Its instructions tell us to withdraw our hands when our skin feels something hot and it tell us our legs to jump away from the road if a speeding car is approaching us. Brain is vital in functioning
this body of ours that comprises 50,000 living cells of two hundred varieties. These cells also make up nerve cells also called neurons and glands i.e. Special functioning cells that secrete hormones. Each cell works to be the functional part of a system. When a group of cells get together to perform similar functions they come to be known as tissues. Similar functioning  tissues tend to get together to form organs. The organs come together to form a particular body system.

We all know that we have five main sense organs. They are eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin. The skin is the largest body organ. It covers our whole body. This flexible organ protects our body`s muscles and bones from direct heat of the sun, water and germs present in the ever polluted air around us. It stops these agents from harming our bodies by forming a protective cover.

Our skeletal system comprises of 206 bones. This skeletal framework makes the structural form of our body. The shape of bones, their flexibility and weight makes up our basic appearance of being tall, short, fat, thin etc. to a large extent. A man may not have body fat on his body but still weight a lot because his or her bones are heavy. Bones are connected at points which we call joints. Such joints are found in jaw-bone, in the skull, at knee, in the leg or at wrist in the arms. It is the joints that help us move our body in different ways. The long backbone located at the back of the skeletal system provides the main support to skull, limbs and encases the spinal chord in a protective case.

The muscular system compares muscles located between the bones and the skin. These muscles are nearly 500 in number. Muscles also aid in smooth movements of body by contracting or stretching when and in whichever way requested.

The nervous system covers our whole body, in the sense, that its main components - nerve cells-are located all over the body. They serve as  passages of messages that travel from organ systems to the brain and back from brain to the organ systems. These messages or signals are actually tiny electrical impulses that pass through the nerves. The instructions passed through nerves by the brain to the various muscles to churn and assimilate food and muscles of the lung to contract and expand as we breathe out and breathe in.

The growth of the body is a swift yet complicated matter. We can say to a large extent that our body keeps on growing till the age of 18 up to 25 years. This results in height increase.

The skin is affected, as a person tends to grow old. Wrinkles tend to form in the skin and it loses its lustre and elasticity. The flexible muscles and joints of the body find difficulty it moving. The muscles are no longer tight and attentive but tend to hang rather loosely. Bones lose their strength and are susceptible to easy breakage, as they became brittle. Death arrives  when body system gives up in old age.

Progresses in science and technology, medicines have provided surgery, pills, exercises, physical therapies etc. to help maintain a healthy body. Supplementary diets for growing children and old people, energy giving pills and shakes have provided awareness for us to maintain a slim, trim, well groomed, clean and healthy body. Use of vaccinations and other preventive measures have taken away threat of inflicting diseases and people are alert to messages that tell us not to take drugs, go for unprotected sex and misuse of medicines to cure ourselves.

All these developments have aided in keeping our bodies and its systems healthy for life.
